HiddenPearlLLC-119On July 10th, 2015 Artie and I headed to our routine mid-pregnancy ultrasound with excitement and anticipation over seeing our unborn child and getting to know the gender. It was revealed to us almost immediately that our sweet baby had something very wrong. The diagnosis: anencephaly. A neural tube defect that prevented the skull and parts of the brain from fully forming.
